Our Story
Listening Ear was founded out of a need for more consistent and group-oriented support amongst mothers of color as well as those who are primary caregivers of their children. As a first-time mom, I found myself isolated more often than having a community around me that I felt knew how to support me. The people who were willing to be there for me didn’t have many opportunities to do so because of my anxieties surrounding my ability to ask for help, assuming no one had the time, or feeling guilty for needing support from others in the first place.

After speaking with women in my community, I realized these were common feelings and behaviors with moms so deeply entrenched in motherhood that our needs fall by the wayside.
Many women don't have access to a community to rely on mentally, emotionally, or even morally. Often, these women carry the weight of being all things to everyone around them and are forgotten when it comes to their own needs. Everyone deserves to have people they can rely on in their times of need, and it should be easily accessible.

Listening Ear Community is for the moms who struggle with reaching out for support when they're in need of a space for honest, open expression. We provide reliable support from like-hearted individuals which allows you to gain community with resources that resonate. It's about pouring into each other, forming friendships, and meeting each other where we are.

Allow us to build a community around you, where you are the center of our universe!
